In Bar, three cruise ships over three days brought more than 10.000 tourists
In the past three days, three cruise ships have docked in Bar, bringing more than 10,000 tourists. For this year’s cruise season, 41 cruise ship arrivals have been confirmed during the seven-month period from March 31 to October 26.

Thanks to the first passenger ships that began arriving in Bar through the company Global Ports Holding, which is the majority owner of the privatized part of AD Luka Bar and the company Port of Adria, the city beneath Mount Rumija has, over the past decade, positioned itself on the map as an attractive cruise destination, including for mega cruise ships.

The Tourist Organization Bar has continued its practice of organizing welcoming receptions for cruise passengers at King Nikola’s Promenade, where a formal reception was held for tourists who chose to leave the ship.

In cooperation with the Secondary School of Economics and Hospitality, visitors had the opportunity to learn about attractive locations and landmarks, as well as receive all necessary information about the city, the Tourist Organization Bar stated.
During the traditional welcome, the acting director of the Tourist Organization Bar, Marina Trceta, greeted the tourists dressed in traditional Montenegrin national costume.

Guests were welcomed with traditional Montenegrin specialties such as fritters with honey, homemade cheese, and olives. The Cultural and Artistic Society Rumija Cultural and Artistic Society, as a guardian of tradition, further enriched the experience with an authentic performance.
The NGO Cluster of Tourism and Creative Industries Bar also presented local souvenirs and handmade crafts, while tourism agencies showcased their excursion offerings, including one-day trips with licensed guides.

This practice will continue throughout the cruise season, until the end of October, with the aim of introducing tourists who visit the city for a single day to Bar’s rich tourism offer and encouraging their return visits.
As a reminder, over the past three days, three cruise ships—Norwegian Viva, Enchanted Princess, and Norwegian Pearl—have docked in Bar, each visiting the port for the first time and bringing more than 10,000 passengers in total.

The next arrival is expected on May 10, when the cruise ship Norwegian Viva will again dock at the Port of Adria pier. On May 12, the mega cruise ship Sun Princess is also expected to arrive, according to the Tourist Organization Bar.
