In the Hinterland of the Small Beach: „Ulcinj Shrimp Day“ – A Celebration of Local Gastronomy and Culture

Tonight at 8 PM, the first-ever “Ulcinj Shrimp Day” will take place in the hinterland of the Small Beach. This event is organized by the Ulcinj Tourist Organization (TO) in collaboration with local restaurateurs and partners, as a part of the traditional initiative “All for Tourism.”

The purpose of this event is to symbolically mark the official beginning of the summer tourist season in Ulcinj by promoting local gastronomy, culture, and music.

The centerpiece of the event will be shrimp, one of the region’s most recognized seafood delicacies. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste shrimp prepared in various ways, complemented by a rich musical program. Ulcinj shrimp is renowned as one of the most prized seafood specialties of the southern Adriatic, celebrated for its rich flavor and tender texture. These delightful seafood treats are traditionally caught in the coastal area of Ulcinj, where clean seawater and a diverse seabed provide ideal conditions for their growth, as highlighted by the TO in their announcement.

It is noted that Ulcinj fishermen and chefs have nurtured the art of shrimp preparation for generations, making it a vital part of the local culinary offerings and an authentic taste of the Mediterranean.

The lively atmosphere will be enriched by the music group DEA, while the vocal group Klapa Jadran will infuse a special touch of Mediterranean emotion. All citizens, guests, and lovers of good food and music are invited to join this unique event and help us kick off another exciting summer in Ulcinj.
