“P(i)jat od Žućenice” – Over 200 Dishes Featuring the Green Treasure of Boka’s Meadows

The 21st edition of “P(i)jat od Žućenice,” part of the Žućenica Fest, will take place on Saturday, June 14th, at the Pine waterfront in Tivat. This event has an international flair, offering guests the chance to sample delicacies from Boka cuisine enhanced with žućenica, prepared by numerous culinary enthusiasts from Montenegro, Serbia, and Poland.

The traditional tourism-promotional event “Žućenica Fest,” organised by the Women’s Association of Tivat with the support of the Municipality and the Tourist Organisation of Tivat, will once again bring together a large number of exhibitors and fans of traditional culinary specialities.

Local gastronomic teams—primarily amateur cooks passionate about žućenica and other edible herbs—will present over 200 dishes made using the green treasures of Boka’s meadows and forests. Chefs from Poland and Serbia will also participate.

The festival traditionally begins with a mini-concert by the Tivat Music and Educational Society. Following the opening ceremony and the tasting of žućenica-based specialities, attendees will enjoy a performance by the klapa group Assa Voce from Podgorica.
