“Summer with the Stars” Kicks Off Tonight in Bar with the “Fishermen’s Festival” – Invitation Extended to More Than 20,000 Visitors and Local Residents
The traditional „Summer with the Stars“ event, organized by the Bar Tourist Organization, begins tonight at 9:00 p.m. on King Nikola Promenade. As part of the event, the „Fishermen’s Festival“ (Ribar Fest) will also take place, showcasing Mediterranean cuisine and the region’s rich coastal traditions. Admission to all concerts is free of charge.
The Bar Riviera is currently hosting 20,545 visitors, representing a 14% increase compared to the same period last year.
„There are 19,933 international tourists and 612 domestic visitors currently staying in the destination. Most guests are accommodated in private accommodation (13,584), while 6,749 are staying in hotels. Holiday resorts are hosting 212 guests,“ said Marina Trceta, Acting Director of the Bar Tourist Organization, in a statement to Primorski Portal. She invited both tourists and the citizens of Bar to enjoy this year’s Summer with the Stars festival.
„On the opening night of the festival, the musical programme will begin with a performance by the Vokalisti Choir, followed by Andrea Demirović and Edis Agić. Alongside an excellent music programme, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the flavours of the Mediterranean at the Fishermen’s Festival, accompanied by a traditional welcome,“ Trceta said.
During the Summer with the Stars festival, organizers have scheduled six concert evenings, to be held every Friday throughout July and August.
Through this event, the Bar Tourist Organization aims to enrich the town’s cultural and entertainment offer for both local residents and tourists spending their holidays on the Bar Riviera.
According to the programme, Čardak Band and Dženan Lončarević will perform on 24 July at King Nikola Promenade. On the final day of July, audiences will enjoy performances by Đina Konatar and Saša Kovačević.
The August programme will open on 7 August with performances by Savo Perović and Slađa Allegro, while Akademia Band and Mirza Selimović will take the stage on 14 August. The final concert of this year’s programme is scheduled for 21 August, featuring Padrino Band and Džejla Ramović.
