 The airline Wizz Air has expressed interest in promoting the tourism potential of Ulcinj on the international market

The diversity of tourist attractions in Ulcinj and its surrounding area offers holiday opportunities for visitors of all generations. This potential has also been recognized by the airline Wizz Air, which has expressed interest in promoting Ulcinj’s tourism offer on the international market.

Representatives of Wizz Air – Salome Khunduze, Airport Development Manager for regional countries, and Akos Bus, Head of Airport Development – paid an official visit to Ulcinj. In the previous period, Wizz Air has launched several flight routes to Montenegro, significantly contributing to the country’s improved connectivity with European markets, with flights operating from as many as 23 destinations.

The meeting was held at the premises of the Tourist Organization of Ulcinj, where the guests were welcomed by Ćazim Hodžić, Director of the Tourist Organization, Petar Delić, Deputy Mayor of Ulcinj, and Valjon Mehmedović, Assistant Director of the Tourist Organization of Ulcinj. During the meeting, discussions focused on opportunities to enhance cooperation and further promote the tourism potential of Ulcinj on the international market.

The purpose of their visit was to become acquainted with the tourism potential of Ulcinj and to explore possibilities for further promoting the destination through the communication channels of Wizz Air. These channels include digital platforms, mobile applications, promotional materials and the company’s in-flight magazines, which reach a large number of users and followers — tens of thousands of passengers and potential tourists across Europe.

During their stay in Ulcinj, the guests had the opportunity to visit some of the area’s most significant tourist attractions. They toured Velika Plaža, one of the longest and most attractive sandy beaches on the Adriatic coast, several hotel facilities in the city, as well as the unique natural area of Ada Bojana. Throughout the visit, they became familiar with the local tourism offer, infrastructure and the diverse experiences that Ulcinj provides to its visitors.

Representatives of Wizz Air expressed particular enthusiasm for the natural beauty and authentic atmosphere of Ulcinj. They emphasized that the destination holds significant potential for further development and promotion on the international market.

They also highlighted the fact that Ulcinj is one of the most affordable tourist destinations in Montenegro in terms of prices, which makes it highly attractive to a wide range of tourists.

They also emphasized that Ulcinj offers diverse opportunities for different types of tourism — from family and leisure tourism, to adventure and sports tourism, as well as health and cultural tourism.

This diversity makes the destination appealing to visitors of all generations and to tourists with different budgets, positioning Ulcinj as a destination accessible to everyone in Montenegro.

This visit represents an important step toward strengthening the international promotion of Ulcinj and positioning it more prominently on the European tourism market, with potential cooperation with Wizz Air in the fields of promotion and increasing tourist traffic, according to a statement from the Tourist Organization of Ulcinj.
