How will retirees cope with the conditions of unstoppable price increases?
Retirees are already on the brink of extinction. With the lowest pension of €147 and an average pension of about €293, retirees cannot withstand the price shock and galloping rise in food prices almost on a daily basis.
The price increase has already swallowed the salary increase through Europe Now program. What can be said about pensioners who have not been treated by that program and for whom the fight for bare survival is already an impossible mission.
According to the latest data, about 16,800 citizens receive the lowest pension in Montenegro.
It is a harsh and gloomy reality that retirees are forced to, instead of living from the fruits of their decades-long work, have to earn a living in order to survive.
