The tourist from Scotland who was staying in Bar today when she decided to visit the unique natural monument, the Old Olive Tree, probably had no idea that she would have been specially hosted and presented with authentic gifts. – It is a special honor and pleasure for us that today we welcomed 50,000 visitors to the Old Olive Tree in Mirovica since we have been managing this precious natural and cultural treasure.

After another year of dedicated work, care and dedication to the preservation of this ancient tree, which repays us in the best way with its strength, vitality and rich fruits, we had the opportunity to host our jubilee guest Maggie from Scotland.
On this occasion, we presented her with a convenient gift package of domestic products and authentic souvenirs, as a sign of gratitude for the visit and the trust shown, the House of Olives stated.
This significant jubilee confirms that the Old Olive Tree attracts an increasing number of visitors from all over the world every year, who come to get to know its rich history, unique beauty and symbolism.

At the end of February 2024, a decision was made by the majority of votes in the Bar Municipality Assembly that the Old Olive Tree in Mirovica will be managed by Kuća maslina DOO.
Let us remind you that last year marked the jubilee 2250 years of existence of Old Olive Tree, testimony of life near the ancient Old Town of Bar.
Many legends are connected to the Old Olive Tree. If she could talk, it would be a story over two millennia long, a story that is still going on. It is a symbol of peace and of the city of Bar. The Old Olive grove has been under state protection since 1957.
